In January, a federal district judge granted an injunction to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's rescission of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The judge's decision means that the DACA program must remain open for renewals until a final legal determination is rendered. On February 26, 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would not take up challenges to the district court injunction until current appeals are adjudicated in the lower courts.

Members of the campus community who have questions or concerns about the current status of the DACA program are encouraged to contact UCR Undocumented Student Programs. Additionally, the UC Immigrant Legal Services Center provides free legal support on immigration matters to all current UC students and their immediate family.
